Kimberly Ann Stone

Kimberly Ogden Stone, beloved wife and devoted mother, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, August 28, 2026.

Kimmie had a way of making every room sparkle- whether through her warm smile, her comforting embrace, or the sound of her voice. She loved her country, her children, and her family fiercely, until her very last breath. She was the person everyone turned to first, always arriving already knowing how to help and how to calm your nerves. She was a safe harbor for all who knew her.

Kimberly found great joy in traveling and going on adventures with her husband and family. She also cherished her time with Carolina Dance Academy and her dear friends Tamara and Damon Greeley. Her curiosity and creativity showed in everything she loved - losing herself in a good book, working on craft projects, singing along to her favorite music, and swooning over a great Broadway show.

She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Ogden; her step fathers Dean Cupp and Bobby Biggers. She has also been preceded by her father-in-law, Jimmie Stone and her mother-in-law, Jean Stone.

She is survived by her mother, Caroldine Biggers; her husband, Jimmie Stone; her children, Olivia and Caleb Stone. She is also survived by siblings Teresa and Fred McClure, and Benji and Tracie Ogden in addition to her nieces, Ashley Dillon, Jovie Ogden, and Lauren Greene.

Kimberly leaves behind a legacy of love, light, and joy in every person she encountered. Her kindness and presence were a gift to all who knew and loved her, and she will be missed beyond measure.

A Funeral service will be held Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 11:00 AM at South Gastonia Church of God, 310 Carolina Ave, Gastonia, NC. The family will receive friends and family at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at 1503 S. York Rd, Gastonia, NC. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens in York, South Carolina.
