Kimberly Black Simonds, 62, of Gastonia, passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.
Born on February 20, 1959, in Gaston County, Kimberly was the daughter Betty Jean Proctor Clary and the late B. C. Black.
In addition to her father, Kimberly is preceded in death by her daughter, Jessica Simonds and ex-husband, Ricky Simonds, Sr.
Left to cherish Kimberly's memories are her mother and stepfather, Betty and Charles Clary; sons, Ricky Simonds, Jr., and Scottie Simonds; brother, Paul Black; sisters, Beverly Estes, and Donna McDaniel; grandchildren, Chris Poindexter, Trevor Simonds, Dessraie Wilson, and Kristen Simonds; and great grandchild, Skylar Poindexter.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.
