Kimberly Raven Lowery Locklear

Kimberly "Raven" Lowery Locklear was born on October 28, 1994 in Mecklenburg County, NC, to Robin Divine and the late James (Jimmy) Lowery. She passed away Thursday, August 6, 2026 in Cherryville, NC at the age of 31.

Raven had the privilege to have a large family that loved her dearly, she had the honor of not only having loving bio parents but her adoptive family as well, parents, Wanda & Mark McKinney, great-grandmother, Pauline Rushton, and two sisters that loved her very much, Marie and Juanita.

In addition to her father, Raven was also preceded in death by her husband, Jeremiah Locklear; adoptive parents, Wanda & Mark McKinney; great-grandmother, Pauline Rushton; grandfather, Timmy Lowery; also numerous aunts and uncles.

Raven was raised in Gastonia surrounded by her numerous cousins and friends. She attended Garver Memorial Baptist Church. Raven was smart and funny, she loved the outdoors, swimming and hiking. Growing up she was the only female wrestler on her Jr. High wrestling team at Mt. Holly Middle School. She had an infectious laugh and a wicked sense of humor. Raven was an extreme animal lover; she was always trying to bring home every stray dog or cat she found. She even became a dog groomer just to be close to what she loved, her fur babies. In her short time, she never met a stranger, she could talk your ears off about the smallest things, music, animals, food, family! She loved them all. Raven will be missed by all who knew her. Raven was one of a kind; she was a beautiful soul inside and out.

Survivors left to cherish her memory are Ravens twins, Jeremiah and Riley Locklear; her mother, Robin Divine (Kasey Dilling); brother, Timmy Lowery; sisters, Marie Harbin (Spouse), Juanita Stallings (Spouse); grandparents, Patricia and Paul Bethea; uncle, Timmy (Jabbo) Lowery; numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, friends and fur babies.

A celebration of Raven's life will be held Sunday, August 23, 2026, 3:00 - 5:00 pm, at Garver Memorial Baptist Church 1920 Modena Street Gastonia, officiated by Pastor David Stewart.
