Kimberly Renee Friday

Kimberly Friday, 57, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2024, at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

A native of Gaston County, she was born on December 25, 1967 to James David Davenport Sr. and the late Barbara Duncan.

Kimberly had a mean wicked sense of humor. She was an excellent cook and was always there for others. She was a good friend to many, a wonderful mother and grandmother. She had a big heart.

In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by her brother, James David "Jamie" Davenport Jr. and several aunts and uncles.

Kimberly is survived by her twin children, Jamie Friday and Garrett Friday; sister, Lisa Davenport; favorite aunt, Judine Bailey; grandson, Cooper Lattimore; granddaughter, Ryleigh Friday; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025, 3:00 PM, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donors charity of choice.
