Kenny "Tate" Carpenter

Kenny "Tate" Carpenter, 59, of Bessemer City, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. He was born December 18, 1956 in Gaston County, to the late Beauford and Betty Crisp Carpenter.

Kenny cherished his family and friends. He loved old cars, motorcycles and his animals.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife for over 17 years Elizabeth Sparks Carpenter of the home; daughters, Tonya Sellers and husband Brad, Christine Carpenter and Fiance' Michael Leonhardt, Shyann Carpenter and Fiance' Michael Brown; brothers, Randy Carpenter and wife Cathy, Michael Carpenter and late wife Vivian; sisters, Lynn Anderson and husband Jay, Lisa Blackwell and husband Wayne; grandchildren, Brandon and Megan Sellers, Gwyn and Olivia Leonhardt; numerous step grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 3 pm Sunday at Greene Funeral Service 1503 South York Road Gastonia, NC 28052. Officiating Pastor Jerry Millwood.

Visitation will be held Saturday 6-8 pm at the funeral home. The family will also receive friends  at their residence following the funeral service.

Burial will be held at Bessemer City Cemetery.
