Kenneth Edward Young

Kenneth Edward Young, 90, of Belmont, NC, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2021, at his residence.

He was born July 27, 1930, in Gaston Co, NC, son of the late Edgar Young and Issabelle Hunt Young.

Kenneth attended Maranatha Temple Church of God. He was an US Airforce Veteran and was a former employee of over 40 years at Belmont Drugstore.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Maney Young; son, Daryl Young; step-sons, Danny Buchanan and Jonathan Buchanan; step-daughters, Bonnie Ames and Melissa Revis; nephews and nieces, Roy Gene Young, Sue Thomas, Carol Langley, Danny Norris, Ted Norris, Kay Morgan, Billy Young, & Lynn McClean; and cousin, Steve Young.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Jeremy Burrell and speaker David Stevens, will be held 12pm on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at Maranatha Temple Church of God - 2435 Redbud Dr, Gastonia, NC 28056.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, Gastonia, with Military Honors by US Airforce.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
