Kenneth Lee Whisnant

Kenneth Lee Whisnant, 66, of Shelby, passed away on September 15, 2021, at his home.

He was born February 2, 1955, in Gaston County, son of the late William W. Whisnant and Irene Mize Whisnant.

Kenneth had worked at J.P. Stevens, Walmart, Bruce's Scrape Metal and Hanes manufacturing.

He loved his tractors and motorcycles, but his greatest love was for his family.

A gathering of family and friends will be held 5-7 pm Sunday, September 19, 2021, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Janice Whisnant ; sons, Anthony Whisnant (Toni), Jonathon Whisnant; daughter, Angel Walters ;brother, Robert Whisnant; sister, Margaret Quinn; grandchildren, Elizabeth Whisnant, Paul Walters IV, Monica Walters, Sarah Walters; Joseph Walters, Anthony Whisnant Jr., Jonathon Whisnant Jr.; great-grandchildren, Zaida Alsobrooks, Jay Alsobrooks, Ryker Burch, Killian Burch, Sam Earney, Andrew Earney.

In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his great-grandson, Brantlee Burch.
