Kenneth Ray Summitt

Kenneth Ray Summitt, 64, of Kings Mountain, passed away May 10, 2016 at the Robin Johnson House in Dallas.

He was born August 8, 1951, a native of Gaston County, the son of the late Willard and Faye Summitt.

Kenneth was an exciting person to be around. There was never a dull moment when he was in our lives. He will truly be missed by all.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife of over 40 years, Mary Henderson; son Kenneth Bradley Summitt; daughters Miranda Summitt Crawford and husband Brian and Megan Ronnell Summitt and fiancé Jose; brother Darrell Summitt; sisters Mazel Rhyne and Linda Staley; grandchildren Tyler, Candace, Dalton, Ian, Jake and Connor; great-grandchildren Isobel and Avery and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Steve Nelson Summitt.

A celebration of life service, officiated by Pastor David Ross, will be held 1 pm Saturday at Greene Funeral Service - South Chapel 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

The family will receive friends 12 – 12:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
