Kenneth Ray Hyleman, 78, of Chester SC, passed away on July 8, 2018, at his home.
He was born June 13, 1940, in Gaston County, son of the late "Mausby" Hyleman and Margaret Stubbs Hyleman.
Mr. Hyleman was a US Air Force Veteran.
A funeral service will be held Noon Thursday, July 12, 2018, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Matt Lytton.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia, with military honors provided by the Gaston County Honor Guard.
Mr. Hyleman is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Brenda Hyleman; sons, Kenny Hyleman and wife Andrea, Eddie Hyleman; daughter-in-law, Terry Hyleman; brother, Grover Hyleman; sisters, Elaine Lawrence, Lois Price, Joanne Hardee, Karen Hyleman; grandchildren, Ashley Weidman and husband Jeff, Brittany Hyleman and Ryan Swino, Austin Hamrick, Hunter Hamrick; great-grandchildren, Jaxson Hyleman, Grayson Weidman, Alexandra Swino.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Bill and Eddie Hyleman; sisters, Virginia Lytton, Nadine Wood, Nancy Boone.
Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
