Kenneth Lee Helms

Kenneth Lee Helms, 75, of Gastonia, passed away March 3, 2016 at Caromont Regional Medical Center.
He was born November 20, 1940, a native of Gaston County, the son of the late John Wesley Helms, Sr. and Blanche Marie Waters Helms.
Kenneth was a member of the Moose Lodge in Gastonia and an avid golfer.
He is survived by his brothers J.W. Helms, Jr. and wife Ann and Keith Helms and wife Linda, all of Gastonia; sisters Kathryn Crumpton of Elloree, SC and Virgie Blankenship of Gastonia.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Freida Lowe Helms; sister Betty Jean Strickland of Charlotte and brother Randy Charles Helms of FT. Myers, FL.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Monday at Hollywood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 4 – 6 pm Sunday at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
