Kenneth R. Cannon

Gastonia, NC Kenneth R. Cannon, 76, passed away November 17, 2013, at The Robin Johnson House, Dallas. He was born January 2, 1937 in Lynn, Mass., son of the late Edward A. and Margaret Welch Cannon. Mr. Cannon was retired from the US Army and the US Postal Service. He was a member of West Cramerton Baptist Church. The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to the staff of the Robin Johnson House. A funeral service will be held 11 am on Friday at West Cramerton Baptist Church, officiated by Revs. Mike Ivey and Jon Hall. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 pm on Thursday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia. The entombment will follow the service on Friday at Gaston Memorial Park Mausoleum, Gastonia. He is survived by: his son, Christopher Baucom and his spouse, Wanda of Gastonia; daughter, Tracie Rice and her spouse, Chris of Gastonia; grandchildren, Chip Baucom, Amanda and Rebecca Rice. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 28 years, Gaile B. Cannon and several brothers and sisters.
