Kenneth Richard Brooks

Kenneth Richard Brooks, 42, of Belmont, passed away February 20, 2015, at his residence. He was born February 24, 1972, in Gaston County, son of Arnold Brooks and Nancy Barrett. Kenneth was a devoted husband and friend, loving father. He was a kindhearted person who loved everyone and was a child at heart. He worked with his second family at Covenant Village for 17 years and enjoyed volunteering to help Veterans. He will be deeply missed. Left to cherish his memories are his mother and stepfather, Nancy and Johnny Barrett; father, Arnold Brooks; loving wife of 9 years, Tammy Brooks; sons, Chase Brooks, Andrew Blanton, Gabriel Ewing; grandparents, Ken and Mildred Howard; mother in law, Minnie Tapy; brother in law, Willie Hill; sister in law, Angel Hill; many aunts and uncles; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 3pm on Wednesday at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 South York Rd. Gastonia. The family will receive friends 6-8pm on Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Belmont. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
