Ken R. Eckhart

Ken R. Eckhart, 76, of Sherrills Ford, NC, peacefully went home to be with Jesus, Friday, July 1, 2022.

He was born January 17, 1946, in Paterson, NJ to the late Frank John Eckhart and Pauline Billowitz Eckhart.

Ken retired from Schneider Trucking Company, where he was in operations.  He was a beloved, Dad and Granddad.  Ken was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Gastonia, NC.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Kay Young Eckhart.

Ken is survived by his son Terry Greene and wife Tammy; daughter, Sherry Russell Deal, and husband Randy; sister, Pauline Grieves; grandchildren, Devin Russell and wife Tiffany, Nathan Greene and wife Michelle; great-grandchildren, Olivia Russell and Tipton Greene; fiancé, Donna Edwards.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Johnny Yarboro will be held 2 PM,  Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 5, 2022, one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia, NC.
