Kemmitt Lynn Price, 78, of Dallas, passed away April 27, 2015 at his residence. He was born June 6, 1936, a native of Gaston County, the son of the late, Dewey and Virginia Price. Kemmitt was a veteran of the US Army who served during the Korean War. He was a member of Dallas Masonic Lodge #263, Red Fez Shrine Club of Lake Wylie, SC and Absher Flowers VFW Post #9337 in Gastonia. He was the owner of Price Metal Spinning. He also took great pride in being an active reserve officer of the Gaston County Sheriff Department. He is survived by his loving wife, Helene Price; son, Kevin Price and wife, Marnie of Huntersville; daughters, Melanie Britton and husband, Dan of Dallas, Chris Huskins and husband, Craig of Bessemer City, Kimberly Tatham and Lynn Hoover of Clover, Susan Jerchower and husband, Eli of Cary; grandchildren, Selena and Luca Price, Daniel and Katie Britton, Rodney Huskins, David and Abby Jerchower. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by grandson, Justin Britton and son-in-law, John Tatham. The family will receive friends 5 - 7 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
