Kelly Anne Huggins Miller, 44, of Stanley, went to be with Jesus on Sunday, February 1, 2015. Kelly was at home surrounded by her family and friends. She was born October 27, 1970 native of Gaston County, daughter of Deborah Anne and the late, Reid Thomas Huggins. Kelly was married to Brian Keith Miller. She enjoyed Christian fellowship, music, sewing, crafts and beach trips with Aunt Freda. Mostly Kelly loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren who were her treasures. She was a member of Grace Family Fellowship. Along with her mother, she is survived by her loving husband, Brian; sons and daughter, Richard Stacy Lowery, II, Brittany Anne Melton, Adam Lee Gregory Johnson and Dustin Wade Walker; grandchildren, Cole Conner Melton, Riley Danielle Lowery, Nathaniel Cole Johnson, and Abbey Grace Anne Walker; brothers and sister, Reid Thomas Huggins, II (Chip), Annette Huggins Grimes, and Samuel Timothy Huggins, and many others in her large close-knit family. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her aunt, Rebecca Newman Hensley. Kelly will be remembered as a sweet wife, precious daughter, loving mother, grandmother, and joyful sister. She was a peacekeeper who always saw the best in everyone and put others before herself. She was graced with her dad's sense of humor and her mother's caregiving spirit. Kelly's laughter, strength, compassion and love will remain in our hearts until we see her again. Her mother, sister, daughter and Aunt Freda has been with her through her entire illness. Freda was her spiritual mentor. Paula Robbs and the hospice employees were wonderful to both Kelly and her family. A funeral service will be held 3 pm Thursday at Restoring Hope Four Square Church - 1026 Dallas Stanley Highway, officiated by the Pastors Fred Morrison and Jack Fox. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Trinity Assembly Cemetery, Bessemer City. Memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice - PO Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
