Kelly Christenbury

Kelly Ward Christenbury, 26, of Gastonia, passed away Friday, August 29, 2014 at her residence. A Gaston County native, she was born September 4, 1987 daughter of Roger Dale Ward and Karen Jarrell Ward of Gastonia. Ms. Christenbury was a member of Clover Liberty Pentecostal Church. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Miller and Mamie Jarrell. In addition to her parents, Kelly is survived by her son, Landon Christenbury of Gastonia; brother, Joshua Dale Ward and Mary Comer of Sharon, SC; nephew, Mason Ward of Sharon, SC; grandparents, Joseph and Myrtle Ward of Gastonia; several aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends. A funeral service, officiated by Pastors Michael Coe and Troy Beaver, will be held 2pm Wednesday, September 3 at Clover Liberty Pentecostal Church, 106 Price St., Clover, SC. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Greene Funeral Service South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia. Interment will be in Gaston Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kelly Christenbury Memorial Fund, c/o Karen Ward, 2920 Rufus Ratchford Rd., Gastonia, NC 28056. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
