Keith "Grasshopper" Douglas Harmon

Keith Douglas "Grasshopper" Harmon, 70, of Kings Mountain, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC.

He was born April 15, 1952, in Gaston County to the late Robert and Betty Ann Case Harmon.

Keith was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church in Kings Mountain. He retired from Firestone after over 40 years of service. He loved his church and was very active. He loved sports and enjoyed going on trips.

He is survived by his brother, Rev. Dennis Harmon and wife Sheila; sister, Dawn Miller and husband Bob; nephews, Rev. Criss Harmon, Shane Harmon, Rev. Phillip Harmon; several great nieces and great nephews; and lifelong friends, Marvin Swanson, Andy Hatcher, and Taylor Tatham.

A funeral service officiated by Revs. Phillip and Michael Harmon, will be held Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Sunrise Baptist Church, 208 Mail Road, Kings Mountain, NC at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Gaston Memorial Park in Gastonia, NC.
