Kazuko Kathy Oishi Cook

Kazuko "Kathy" Oishi Cook, age 82, of Charlotte, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020, at Levine and Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville.
A native of Japan, she was born March 31, 1937, daughter of the late Qutaro and Hatu Fukagawa Oishi.
Kathy loved nature and feeding the local wild animals.
She loved to get out and shop, especially the grocery stores, and loved to put together jigsaw puzzles.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Jennifer Grimaldi of Boomer, WV, and Christine Cook of Charlotte; grandchildren, Jocelyn Sloan and husband John W., Brittany Wine, Caitlyn Kennedy, Bronwyn Kennedy, Eric Cantrell, Hannah Rikard, Preston Rikard, and Levi Mauch; great-grandchildren, Madeline Sloan, Emma Sloan, Molly Wine, Aubrey Wine, and Gavin Cantrell.
A memorial service, officiated by Rev. Don Robertson, will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, January 31, 2020 at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Levine and Dickson Hospice House, 11900 Vanstory Dr., Huntersville, NC 28078.
