Kay Smith

Kay Trull Smith, age 75, of Dallas, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2020, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC.

A Gaston County native, she was born May 30, 1945, daughter of the late Anderson and Garnell Jenkins Trull.

She was a member of Flint Groves Baptist Church and was the last surviving of six children.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Heavner; brothers, Carroll, Bobby, and Roger Trull; and sisters, Cindy Hoffman and JoAnn Bonner.

Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband of over 55 years, Lanny Smith; daughter, Lorrie McClure and husband Tim; sons, Scott Smith and wife Jackie, Jeff Smith and fiancée Angie Kinley, Kevin Smith and wife Kim; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Ronnie Bowers, will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 2, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

Mrs. Smith will lie in state at the funeral home from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment will be held at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.
