Kay "Loretta" Slaton

Kay "Loretta" Slaton, 81, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at home with family.
She was born March 9, 1936, in Gaston County, daughter of the late Lawrence Smith and Zoe Gilbert Smith.
Loretta retired from Revco and CVS after over 25 years of service. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. She loved her family, Nascar and her dogs.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Slaton was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Slaton and son, Scott Slaton.
Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Brian and Brent Slaton, daughter, Christy Whitesides and husband, Tony; grandchildren, Jerad, Brooke, Phillip and Kristy; and 4 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service, officiated by Rev. Jerry Millwood, will be held from 2-4 pm on Saturday, November 11, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 South York Rd, Gastonia.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
