Katrina Miller

Katrina Gayle Bess Miller, 67, of Dallas, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

A native of Gaston County, born on April 13, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Cregg and Helen Jenkins Bess.

Katrina attended Parkwood Baptist Church in Gastonia. She graduated from Hunter Huss High School in Gastonia. Katrina loved to draw and volunteer at homeless shelters. After the death of her son, she completed her RN at Gaston College. She was an avid supporter of organ donation.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, David Miller; son, Cregg Wesley Henderson; brothers, Cregg A. "Tony" Bess, Jr. and Maurice Benton "Benny" Bess; and nephew, Cregg A. "Andy" Bess, III.

Left to cherish Katrina's memories are her nieces, Ginger Bess Elliot (Alex), Anna Bess, and Donna Bess; nephews, Burt Bess, and Tony Bess; great niece, Candice Nicole Bess; great nephew, Anthony Hanner Bess; aunt, Doris Reep; and uncle, Morris Jenkins.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S York Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

A private interment will be held at Gaston Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Duke University Medical Center or Ronald McDonald House (Durham).
