Katie Renee Angley

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Katie Renee Angley, who left us on February 25, 2026, at the age of 56. Born on November 8, 1969, in North Carolina, Katie lived most of her life in Gastonia, where she became a cherished friend and family member to so many.

Katie had a big heart and was very spunky. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved the Lord and went to church when she was able. She enjoyed trips to the beach and the mountains. She was a very likable person and never met a stranger.

Katie is survived by her beloved husband of 33 years, Michael Angley; her father, Ronnie Henson; her mother, Cathy Williamson; her son, Michael Angley Jr. (Angel); and her daughter, Angela Wingate (Sedrekus); brothers, Wayne Bridges, Ronnie Henson Jr., Jason Henson, Chris Williamson; grandchildren, Se'Merica Wingate,, Se'Riah Wingate, Se'Miah Wingate, Malory Angley, Jordyn Angley, Michael Angley III. She was preceded in death by her brother, Donnie Bradshaw.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 3:00 - 5:00 PM at Lighthouse Full Gospel Church, 531 N. Hawthorne St. Mt. Holly, NC 28120.
