Kathy Auten George, 64, of Gastonia passed away September 7, 2018 at her residence.
She was born March 15, 1954, in Mecklenburg County, the daughter of the late Boyd and Jennie Auten.
Kathy was a member of Venture Church in Dallas.
She was a former employee of J.C. Penney, Kerr Drug, and Belmont Abbey College.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Amanda George Self; brother, Ricky Auten; mother-in law and father-in-law, Patricia and Bill George.
Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband of over 38 years, Tommy Dale George; son-in-law, Joshua Self; grandchildren, Kyndall and Kaleb Self; sister-in-law, Dereama Ruffin; brothers-in-law, Dickie, David, Timmy, and Jeff George.
A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Austin Rammell, will be held 2 pm Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Venture Church, 800 E. Main St, Dallas.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Belmont.
Memorials may be made to Venture Church, 800 E. Main St, Dallas, NC 28034.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
