Kathleen Walter Jonas

Kathleen Walter Jonas, 77, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Monday, January 29, 2024, at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Beltsville, Maryland, on July 9, 1946, to the late Henry and Jessie Walter.

Kathleen was a devoted, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was an exceptional registered nurse who loved her patients and caring for others.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Zoe Walter Forrester; brother, Joseph Fulks.

Kathleen is survived by her husband of 59 years, Daniel Jonas; son, Daniel Jonas, and wife Robbi Jamieson Jonas; daughters, Jennifer Jonas Brooks and husband Ricky G. Brooks, Elizabeth J. Baity and husband Jonathan Baity; sister, Lael Walter Jordan, and husband Carlton Jordan; grandchildren, Sara Elizabeth Baity, David Daniel Baity, Michael Charles Baity, Parker Daniel Jonas; one great-grandson, Timothy Shepard Baity.

A memorial service officiated by Reverend Sam Barnette, will be held Sunday, February 18, 2024, 2:00 PM, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 prior to the service at the funeral home.
