Kathleen "Kat" Cloninger Williamson

Kathleen "Kat" Cloninger Williamson, 89, of Gastonia, passed away March 20, 2017 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.

She was born March 13, 1928, a native of Gaston County, the daughter of the late George Washington Cloninger and Janie Hamrick Cloninger.

Kat was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Gastonia.  She was a member of the Ramblers Senior Group.  She retired form Pharr-yarns after 27 years of service.  Kat loved her family and spending time with them.  She also enjoyed doing crafts.

Left to cherish her memories are her son Scott Williamson and wife Pamela; daughter Gail W. Addis; grandchildren Lee Todd and wife Heather, Christopher Todd and wife Dana and Tyler and Weston Williamson; great-grandchildren Kieran, Brody, Victoria, Marissa and Jake Todd and dear friends Tina Rowland and family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Burt Williamson; brothers George, Thomas, Bill and Richard Cloninger and sister Gladys Buchanan.

A funeral service, officiated by Rev. Scott Whitener will be held 2 pm Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Temple Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends 1 – 2 pm Thursday prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park.
