Katherine Collins Auten

Katherine Collins Auten was born to the Rev. Ray Collins and Susan Ella Hall Collins on Feb 19, 1937, in Statesville. She finished her race and entered all of Heavens Glory on August 19, 2024.

She was the middle child of eleven children.

Katherine married the love of her life Harold Auten and they were married for 33 wonderful years.

Her vivacious smile and personality lit up the lives of all she met and knew. She was beautiful, kind, generous and loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a gracious giver and always put other's needs before her own.

Katherine is survived by her children, Kathy, Harold Jr. (Tina), David (Dee), and Becky (Dale); grandchildren, Michael Jr. (Tree), Steven (Cindy), Robbie, Kyndal (David), Trent, Wendy (Chris) and Larry (Leslie); great-grandchildren, Christopher, Aaliyah, Jacob, Joshua and Laynie; siblings, Jewell, Maynell, Ray Jr. (Gayle), and Judy Kay.

In addition to her parents, Katherine was preceded in death by her loving husband Harold W. Auten Sr., siblings, Helen, Ruth, Paul, John David, Mattie Faye and Ralph.

We love you Mama so very much and until we meet again in Heavens Glory… Mizpah!

A graveside service will be held 3:00 pm Friday, August 23, 2024, at Westview Gardens 1123 Edgewood Road Bessemer City.
