Karen Elaine Jenkins Phillips, age 73 of Dallas, was called home to be with the Lord, December 22, 2023.
She was born on March 26, 1950, in Gastonia, a daughter of the late James "Jim" Everette Jenkins, Sr. and Ada Mae "Hattie Mae" Bradley Jenkins.
Karen graduated from Hunter Huss High School. She dedicated many years of her life to her career and retired from Hunter Douglas. She was a lifelong member of Bradley United Methodist Church. She loved and adored her grandchildren.
Karen is survived by her daughters; Lisa Dawn Parlier and Jodi P. and husband Shane Scates. She was the proud grandmother of Logan Michael and Kaden Blaine Scates, Brittney Harrison Edge and Ava Gabrielle Huffstickler and four great-grandchildren; Alaina Jean and Ansley Dawn Warskow, and Briella Mae and Jayla Rose Edge, brothers; James "Jamie" Everette Jenkins, Jr. and wife Deanna, Ronald "Ronnie" Blair Jenkins and wife Sandra, cousin and close friend; Dean Bumgardner and wife Carol, and best girlfriends from high school.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Kerry Bradley Jenkins.
