Karen Yvonne Carter

Karen Yvonne Carter, 73, of Gastonia, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

Karen dearly loved her family and found great joy in spending time with them. She had a passion for dancing and took pride in her career at Gaston Day School, where she spent ten wonderful years as a school bus driver before retiring.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Zach Reeves (Elena); her daughter, Katie Shachar (Roy); her sisters, Jane Allen and Brenda Wellman (Eddie); and her beloved grandchildren, Eleanor Shachar and Leor Shachar.

The family will receive friends at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, located at 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2026.

Karen was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bob Reeves; and parents, Wilbur and Gladys Carter.
