Justin "Brett" Reynolds

Justin "Brett" Reynolds, 33 of Bessemer City, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 20, 2022, at his residence in Gastonia.

He was born March 22, 1989, the son of Sandra Holloway Stepp Reynolds and Jack Reynolds, Jr.

Brett was a graduate of Tabernacle Christian Academy. He was a gifted athlete and easily excelled at sports.  He loved his family and friends, eighties movies, dogs, shooting pool, baseball, and motorcycles. Brett was an exceptional cook and a talented artist.  He also enjoyed fishing but did not have the knack for it.  According to his nephew Kevin he was a terrible fisherman. He had an uncanny sense of humor which those close to him found especially endearing.

Brett was completely devoted to his family, especially his sister, Jessica.  They were fiercely loyal to each other and shared a very special bond.

Brett never met a stranger and cherished the time he spent in conversation with his family, friends, and acquaintances.  He was passionate and strongly opinionated which often led to conversations becoming heated, however once he flashed that "Brett smile" happiness filled the room, and everyone brightened.

Brett was a kind soul with a tender heart. We will never forget how much we loved him, and he has left a huge hole in our family that can never be filled. We only take comfort knowing for certain that he is with his God and our dear Mama Doris and Pa Jim.

Left to cherish his memory, in addition to his parents are his brother and sister-in-law, Todd and Dawn Stepp; his sisters Jessica Stepp and Lindsey Reynolds; his cousin Corey Cobb, who he loved like a brother; his maternal aunts and uncles; Karen and Eddie Watford, Tracy and Fred Cobb, Terri and Tim Sanford, his paternal aunts and uncles; Kathy and Mike Stamey, Linda and Don Elliott, Dixie and Eddie Smith; great aunt Alice Holloway Neal; nephew Kevin Stepp; niece Katie Stepp, and many cousins; Travis, Allison, Addalynn, and Parker Watford, Kyle, Ashley, Conor and Colton Watford.

A memorial service, officiated by the Reverend Zachary Stewart, will be held 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd, Gastonia.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
