June Hollifield

June Long Hollifield, 74, of Gastonia, passed away August 19, 2022, at Robin Johnson House in Dallas.

A Gaston County native, she was born April 23, 1948, daughter of the late Jethro "Jett" Long and Nellie Lawing.

June had worked for Beltex and Caromont Regional Medical Center.

She was a quiet, gentle, generous soul who was easygoing and would do anything for anyone.

June deeply loved her family, especially her granddaughter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Paul A. Lawing; sister, Elizabeth Bingham; brother-in-law, Bud Bingham; and nephew, Paul "Bud" Dewey Bingham.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Allen Davis and wife Shannon, Buddy Davis (fiancé Asia McKee); grandchildren, Mileena Aloy Davis, Nevaeh Davis, Joseph Davis, Addilynn Davis, and Bryndon Davis; fur baby, Carlos; former spouse, Gregory M. Hollifield (Tammy); and former mother-in-law, Anita Hollifield.

A celebration of life will be held 11:00 am, Friday, August 26, 2022, at Grace Baptist Church – 2200 Auten Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054.
