June Gunter Hagans

June Gunter Hagans, 74, of Gastonia, passed away April 30, 2018 at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

She was born August 7, 1943, a native of Gaston County, the daughter of the late Connie Lee Gunter and Jennie Bell Blackwelder Gunter.

June was a former member of Landmark Baptist Church.  She was a former employee of the Credit Bureau and Gaston County School Systems.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandson.

Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband of 47 years, Roy Hagans; son, Scott and Amy Long Hagans; sister, Peggy Walls and grandson, Carter Hagans.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Sylvester Gunter and sisters, Jacqueline Hunnicutt and Patricia Ann Gunter.

A graveside service, officiated by the Rev. Vergil Harper, will be held 11 am Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Evergreen Cemetery, 1462 Armstrong Ford Rd., Belmont.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
