Juliette "Julie" Davis

Juliette "Julie" Davis, 84, of Gastonia, passed away January 26, 2022, at her home.

She was born in Cherokee County, SC on December 14, 1937, to the late Phillip Wilfred and Vera Blanton Smiley.

Julie was married to the love of her life for 62 years.  She was a homemaker, taking care of her husband and children.  She would follow her husband around the states when his job required it.  She dearly loved her family.  Julie was a devoted Christian.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Joann Vassey and Nancy Childers; and a brother, Phillip Wilfred Smiley, Jr.

Julie is survived by her husband, Roy Davis, Jr.; a son, Bryan Scott Davis and wife Connie; a daughter, Kimberly Freeman and husband Harold; two sisters, Mary McKenny and Patricia Hines; two grandchildren, Malinda Doyon and husband Jordan, and Bryan Davis; and two great-grandchildren, Sutton Doyon and Shepherd Doyon.

The family would like to express special appreciation to Julie's caregiver, Jerri Reed, for her loving care of Mrs. Davis.

A private graveside service will be held at Clingman Memorial Gardens, Blacksburg, SC.
