Julie Ann Tilley Griffin

Julie Ann Tilley Griffin, 49, of Gastonia, passed away December 3, 2015. She was born May 10, 1966, a native of Gastonia, daughter of Shirley Tilley and the late Hubert Tilley. Left to cherish her memories along with her mother are her step-father Gary Holland; daughters Renia Griffin and boyfriend Richard Ballew, Shephanie Griffin and fiancé Shane Tallent, Ashley Stang and husband Brian; sons Joey Smith and William Griffin; grandchildren, Hailey Tallent, William Griffin Jr., Zachary Smith, Selina Griffin, Charlee Tallent, Alyssa Griffin and Ethan Tallent; brother Robert Tilley and wife Julie; sister Ruby Detter and husband David, aunt Judy Stennett; nieces Summer Davis and Amanda Green; nephew Matthew Detter and Best Friend Christy Davis. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her husband Terry Griffin; nephew Bam Bam and best friend Kay Watts. A memorial service will be held 3 pm Sunday at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Timothy Griffin. The family will receive friends 6 - 8 pm Saturday at the funeral home and other times at the home. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
