Judy Ramsey Matthews

Judy Ramsey Matthews, 73, of Stanley, NC passed away Sunday, January 29, 2023, at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

She was born February 20, 1949 in Gaston County to the late William and Mildred Ramsey.

Judy was a member of Antioch Lutheran Church in Dallas, NC. She loved her family, and she loved her church and community.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, James C. Ramsey; sisters, Merle R. Smith and Mary R. Handsel.

Judy is survived by her husband of over 53 years, George Matthews; son, Chad Matthews (Christina); brothers, Rev. Paul L. Ramsey (Geri), Michael A. Ramsey (LeeAnn); sisters, Virginia R. Nixon, Jewell R. Brown (Earl), Freida R. Pendleton.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Andrew Weisner will be held Friday, February 3, 2023, 3:00 PM at Antioch Lutheran Church, 330 Old NC 277 Loop Road, Dallas, NC 28034. Visitation will be from 2:00 – 3:00 prior to the service. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
