Judy Blair Jackson

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Judy Stiles Jackson, who left us on September 26, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on March 18, 1946, in North Carolina, Judy spent her life in Gastonia, where she touched many lives with her warmth and kindness.

Judy dedicated many years as an Administrative Assistant for the City Police Department in the detective division, where her work ethic and friendly smile made her a beloved colleague. Until she was unable to attend, she was a proud member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Gastonia, where she found strength and friendship in her community.

Judy was known for her love of reading, knitting, and cross-stitching, which she often shared with family and friends. Her creative spirit and warm heart will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She leaves behind her devoted husband of 57 years, Charles Jackson; and her children, Cheryl Petty and Mark Jackson (Annette); grandchildren, Matthew Jackson, Joseph Jackson and Sarah Jackson; and many nieces and nephews; who will forever cherish their memories of her.

Judy's family plans on a private service at a later date.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Bob Stiles and Jane Teague Gragg; siblings, Parks Stiles, Dale Lundy, David Gragg and Robin Bolch.
