Judy Ann Haney, 70, of Dallas, passed away September 19, 2015 at the Robin Johnson House in Dallas. She was born May 7, 1945, a native of Gaston County, the daughter of the late Fred and Lula Brown. Judy was a member of Independent Baptist Tabernacle. Left to cherish her memories are her children, Wayne "Red" Howard and wife, Denese, Lisa Elders and Scott Howard and wife, Lisa; brother, Richard Brown; sister, Rachel Penland; grandchildren, Tyler Howard Gosnell, Eli Howard, Matthew Huffstetler and Travis John. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Fred Brown Jr. and Perry Brown and sisters, Mable Layel, Irene Poole and Lucille Ervin. A funeral service will be held 3 pm Thursday at Independent Baptist Tabernacle, 2128 Dallas-Cherryville Hwy., Dallas, officiated by Pastor Ralph Carver. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice (The Robin Johnson House) PO Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
