Juanita Mitchem Hannah

Juanita Mitchem Hannah, 80, of Bessemer City, passed away on August 6, 2020, at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

She was born February 20, 1940, in Gaston County, daughter of the late John Mitchem and Georgia Watts Mitchem.

Juanita was a graduate of the class 1958 from Tryon High School.

She loved music, dancing and she enjoyed having a floral garden and working in it.

She retired from Wix Filters with over 25 years of service.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, August 16, 2020, at Mount Beulah Baptist Church, 5306 Dallas Cherryville Hwy. Bessemer City, officiated by Pastor Ronnie Pressley, Pastor Tom Hovis and Rev. Jonnie Mixon.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Lincolnton, NC.

Juanita is survived by her loving daughter, Tammie Mitchem and husband Kenny; sister, Debbie Mitchem Wray and husband Bobby; nephews, Greg Wray and wife Trish, Johnny Wray and wife Crystal; five great-nieces and nephews; one great-great nephew; loving companion of 25 years, Johnny Dellinger.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
