Joycee Barrett

Gastonia, NC Joycee Barrett, 69, passed away August 15, 2013, at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte. She was born September 25 1943 in Gaston County, daughter of the late J.C. and Sadie Mae Sanders Shepard. Joyce loved her family and her church,Taylor Memorial Baptist Church, Gastonia, where she was a member. A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm on Sunday at Taylor Memorial Baptist Church, Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Dan White. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Saturday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia. Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia. Joyce is survived by: her son, Tad Barrett and wife, Carman; brother, Mike Shepard; sisters, Shirley Shepard Donnelly, Linda Shepard Nolen and husband, Gene; grandchildren, Andrew Thomas Barrett, Phillip Edward Barrett; step grandchild, Dragos Dima; a number of nieces and nephews.
