Joyce Diane Szymkowski

Diane Szymkowski, 67, of Kings Mountain passed away May 29, 2013 at the Kings Mountain Hospice House. She was born August 21, 1945 in Gaston County, daughter of the late Earl Milford and Etta Mae Lockridge Johnson. A memorial service will be held 2 pm Sunday at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia, NC 28052, officiated by Rev. Roy Clark. The family will receive friends from 6:00 -8:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home and other times at the home of Kim Navy. Interment will be at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City. She loved her family, traveling, going to the Country Kitchen, and listen to gospel music. She was a member of Sparrow Springs Baptist Church. Mrs. Szymkowski is survived by: her son, Jamie Carrigan and fiancée Mary Elizabeth Gibson; daughter, Kim Navy; grandchildren, Ashley Hope and husband Jack, Amy Navy, Courtney Carrigan, Brittany and Emily Dover; great grandchildren, Preston Carrigan and Kallie Hope. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center Medical Center Blvd. Winston Salem, NC 27157 or Hospice of Cleveland County 951 Wendover Heights Dr. Shelby, NC 28150.
