Joyce L. Roper

February 28, 1953 — January 8, 2021

Joyce L. Roper, 67, of Cherryville, passed away Friday, January 8, 2021 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

She was born February 28, 1953, in Haywood Co., NC daughter of the late Charles Lawson and Marietta Clinton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Goodson; and daughter, Marietta Kimberly Haas.

She loved her family – her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and everyone's children.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, John Roper; former husband, Burwell Haas; sons, Joseph Zooky Haas and wife Michelle, Brent Haas, Dayson Lamar Haas and wife Crystal; brothers, Ronnie Schuler and wife Tina, Danny Goodson and wife Brenda; grandchildren, Kimberly, Joseph, Ashley, Brandon, Dayson, and John Michael; great grandchild, Violet.

A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Robert Wise, will be held at 1:30 pm on Thursday, January 14 at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1593 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

Interment will be in Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.
