Joyce Faye Richardson Miles

Joyce Faye Richardson Miles, 76, of Gastonia, passed away December 14, 2022, at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

She was born September 5, 1946, in Richland County, SC, daughter of the late Allen Richardson and Nezzie Lee Richardson.

Joyce was a lifelong member of Eighth Street Church of God, where she loved to cook for the members of the church and she also loved to cook for her loving family.

She enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls throughout her life as well as family photos.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Eighth Street Church of God 906 South Eighth Street, Bessemer City, officiated by Pastor Ronnie Pendleton.

The family will receive friends from 1-2pm prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be at Westview Gardens in Bessemer City.

Joyce is survived by sons, Robbie Tallent, Davy Tallent, Rodney Tallent, Jason Tallent; stepsons, Jimmy Leroy Miles, Scottie Miles; stepdaughter, Tammy Miles Auten; brother, Heyward Richardson; sister, Shirley Richardson; grandchildren, Cheyenne Tallent, Lee Tallent , Shane Tallent, Danielle Hodge, Addison Mosteller, Christian Tallent, Jeremy Tallent and numerous others; twenty-four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Miles; and ten brothers and sisters.
