Joyce Self Holcombe, 75, born in Gaston County NC, crossed the river Jordon to Glory on August 26, 2020 at 10:05 am

Joyce was a Health Care worker for many years, she always wanted to help people and make their everyday life a little better. Her bright smile and warm heart did just that. Joyce loved getting dressed up and going to church. She had a style of that most of us envy. She enjoyed going out to eat, loved shopping, and was known for her fiery Red hair and beautiful brown eyes. Joyce will be missed by everyone that ever met her. She never let you leave her without saying I Love You, she would say if we never meet again that will be the last thing I say to you. Joyce was a Member of Sparrow Springs Baptist Church in Gastonia, NC she loved her church family too, especially Pastor Gene Bates and his wife Denise.

Joyce was predeceased by her mother, Margaret Howell; grandmother, Nessie Howell; her 1st husband, Leonard Bradley; 2nd husband and the love of her life, James Self; and 3rd husband, Ronnie Holcombe. She is also predeceased by her baby daughter, Starlene Bradley; her sons, Larry Bradley Sr. and Scott Bradley; and daughter-in-law, Carolyn Bradley.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Bradley England and husband Michael; step-son, Chad Self and Tony Brandon; grandchildren, Travis Grant, Blair Hannah and husband Sam, Nikki Zarkrzewski, Larry Bradley and Brooke Self, Christopher Self and Kayla Hines; great grandchildren, Brandon Grant, Bailey Hannah, Samuel Hannah and Alexis Hines. Joyce is also survived by her sister in heart, Mary Hawkins; very special great nephews, Richard Bradley and Timothy Hawkins; great niece, Leighanne Bradley; and special great-great niece, Riley Fleming.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Gene Bates will be held 3 pm on Monday, August 31, 2020 at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

Family will receive friends 6-8 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.

Burial will be held at Armstrong Cemetery, Gastonia, NC.
