Joyce Stiles Fore, 84, of Belmont, passed away September 21, 2018, at her residence.
She was born October 1, 1933, in Cherokee County, NC, daughter of the late Roy and Nellie Stiles.
Joyce was a lifetime member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She enjoyed cooking and regularly cooked for special occasions.
She routinely made donations in support of the Kidney Foundation.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fore was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert; and her brother, Kenneth Stiles.
Left to cherish her memories are her son, Wayne Buchanan; daughters, Jeanne Land and husband Gary, Brenda Hogan; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Dickie Spargo, will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Gaston Memorial Park.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
