Joyce Marie Edwards Jarvis

Joyce Marie Edwards Jarvis, 69, of Gastonia, passed away December 7, 2014 at her residence. She was born October 25, 1945 in Forsyth County, daughter of the late William Kyle and Ila Mae Edwards. Joyce was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She loved to go to yard sales and the flea market. She especially loved the Christmas season. She is survived by sons, Jimmy Jarvis, Edgar D. Jarvis, Clayton Jarvis and wife, Deidre; daughters, Bronna Jarvis, Danielle Meeks and husband, Josh; sisters, Judy West, Sandra Lunsford and husband, Mike; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Gloria Jean Edwards. A funeral service will be held 12 noon Friday at Center United Methodist Church - 1857 US 64, Mocksville, NC 27028, officiated by Rev. James Pauley. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Inurnment will be in Center United Methodist Church Cemetery. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
