Joyce Price Davis

Joyce Price Davis, a beloved soul born on October 16, 1935, in Gastonia, NC, passed away peacefully at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia, NC, on September 22, 2025, at the age of 89. Joyce lived a life full of kindness and warmth, always ready with a smile and a helping hand for those around her.

Joyce proudly retired as a registration clerk at Caromont Regional Medical Center, where she touched the lives of many with her dedication and cheerful spirit. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church, Gastonia. She had a lot of friends and took very good care of her family. Joyce was a gifted singer, and loved singing at church, home, in the choir, with groups, and at special events even from her childhood.

She is survived by her cherished children, Lea Ann Ramsey (Mike), Jane Dunkin (Dan), Lydia Davis, and Lance Davis (Leslie); grandchildren, Michael, Billy (Cathy), and Allison Ramsey, Kippen Priest (Eric), Scott Dunkin, Ella Davis, and Carter Davis; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, Alan Price; brother-in-law, Bill Johnson; along with many beloved nieces and nephews, who will forever carry her love in their heart.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents Grady F. Price and Lona Mae Price; sister, Carolyn Johnson; special friend, Sybil Walker; and cousin, Dan Shannon.

Join us for a celebration of Joyce's life on September 27, 2025, at Greene Funeral Service South Chapel - 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052. Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a service to honor her memory at 4:00 PM.
