Joyce Lee Crawford, a cherished beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and spirited friend, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2026, at the age of 81, at her home in Bessemer City, North Carolina. Born on December 26, 1944, Joyce lived a life filled with love, laughter, and compassion, leaving a mark on all who knew her.

Joyce was a caretaker at heart, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear whenever someone was in need. Her love for feeding others was legendary, and her homemade banana pudding was a staple at every family gathering-often requested, never duplicated.

A fierce protector of those she loved, Joyce was known for her feisty spirit and unforgettable sayings that could make anyone laugh. Her ability to brighten a room and lift people's spirits was a remarkable gift that she shared generously.

Joyce held her family close to her heart; her husband, Ray Crawford; son, Dwain Davis (Dee); grandchildren, Spencer Davis (Alyssa) and Blake Glover (Jonathan); great grandchildren, Crew Davis, Sloane Davis, and Caden Glover; nieces and nephews, Lynda Hammett (Shane), Michael Addis (Jennifer), Joey Addis (Melanie), and Amy Brown (Aaron); great nieces and nephews, Jordan Hammett (Raegan), Natalie Hayes (Nick), Kailey Addis, Rylee Addis, Jonathan Radford, Hannah Radford, Kendall Addis, Cooper Addis, Addison Bryant, and Ava Bryant. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she lovingly embraced her nieces and nephews as if they were her own.

Joyce was preceded in death by her late husband, Joe Crain; parents, Ennis and LeeAnn Addis; brother, Jimmy Addis (Darlene); niece, Michelle Radford.

Joyce's warmth and love will be deeply missed, yet her memory will be celebrated by all she leaves behind. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring her life. A visitation will be held at Greene Funeral Service South Chapel on Saturday, May 30, 2026, starting at 10:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Joyce will then be laid to rest at Gaston Memorial Park.
