Joseph Manuel Thompson

Joseph Manuel Thompson, 43, of Gastonia, passed away December 9, 2021, at Atrium Medical Center, Charlotte.

A Gaston County native, he was born September 11, 1978.

Joseph loved spending time with his family and children.

He loved driving trucks and being on the road going to new places. He enjoyed taking time off to take a ride up to the mountains to see his family. He loved going to the beach and going to the drag strip to watch the races.

Joseph was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Terry.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving spouse, Paula B. Crawford; father, Harry Crisp; daughters, Allaya Hite (Brandon Barnette) and Camille Hite; brother, Shorty Thompson; sister, Crystal Caldwell; Aunt Reba and Uncle Sammy Cope; cousin, Brent Cope; best friend Stevie, known as brother; and several nieces and nephews.

A gathering of friends and family will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
