Danny Jordan Sr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph Daniel Jordan Sr., who left us on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on March 15, 1946, in Gastonia, NC, Danny was a lifelong resident of the area.

 Danny was a loving father. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He loved animals and spreading the Gospel. He cherished the simple joys of life, always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh with those around him. He especially loved and adored his grandchildren.

 Left to cherish is memory are his children, Lori Evatt (Adam), Joshua Jordan (Erika), Leann Medley (Brandon); grandchildren, Luke Evatt (Allison), Sarah Medley, Jaxon Jordan, Lillian Jordan, Paislee Medley; sisters, Susie Kester, Peggy Jordan; brothers, Mike and Bill Jordan.

 He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Diane Jordan; parents, Bud and Sarah Jordan; son, Joseph Daniel Jordan Jr.; brothers, Bud and Phillip Jordan; sisters, Jennie Jordan, Gail Jordan, and Pat Matthews.

 Friends and family are invited to celebrate Danny's life at a Funeral Service that will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church Kings Mountain, 605 W. King St. Kings Mtn. NC. A visitation will take place beforehand, starting at 12:30 PM, in the church parlor, allowing everyone to come together and share memories of Danny.

 Following the service, Danny will be laid to rest at his final resting place, Edgewood Cemetery, located at 1123 Edgewood Road, Bessemer City, NC 28016.
