Joseph Scott Gilbert

Joseph "Scott" Gilbert, 52, of Gastonia, passed away January 23, 2015, at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia. He was born September 27, 1962, in Gaston County, son of Charles and Wayburn Gilbert. Left to cherish his memories are his parents, Charles and Wayburn Gilbert; son, Brandon Gilbert; daughter, Brooke Gilbert; brothers, Dennis Teague, Ray Gilbert and Rudy Gilbert; sisters, Linda Threadgill, Charlene Simmons, Denise Miller, Sandra McCarthy and 4 grandchildren. A celebration of life service will be held 5pm on Tuesday, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 South York Rd. Gastonia, officiating Rev. Joan Griggs. The family will receive friends 3:30-4:45 pm at the funeral home before the service. Interment is private. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
