Joseph Jacob Black

Joseph Jacob Black, 39, of Dallas, passed away January 18, 2019, at his home.

He was born January 18, 1980, in Astoria, NY, son of Jake Monroe Black, Jr. and Susan Lowder James.

Joseph worked for several years at the AMC Cinemas, Pineville. He loved doing D.J. work and was an expert at computers.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Monica Elaine Black.

In addition to his parents, left to cherish his memories are his son, Jason Nicholas Black; sister, Melissa Sorrells; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his cat, Tigger.

The family will receive friends 2:00 -3:00 pm on Wednesday at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd. Gastonia. A celebration of life will follow at 3:00.

Inurnment is private.
